About The Legislation

Current climate change legislation being considered by Congress is the wrong plan for America and will dramatically impact the American way of life. Why? Well, it lacks common sense.

Climate bills before Congress were supposed to promote more expensive, less reliable renewable resources and encourage efficiency and conservation. But these bills also contain thousands of unrealistic and unmanageable mandates that will cost American’s their jobs, their hard earned money and more.

These bills would restrict the use of fossil fuels (coal, natural gas and petroleum) that provide 85 percent of America's energy replacing them with more expensive, less reliable renewable energy, all while instituting an avalanche of new regulations to control how you and your family use energy. Worst of all, as nearly everyone including the EPA agrees, these bills will do virtually nothing to lower the earth's temperature.
